WebIFMIS – which is deployed at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Office of the CIO - is one of five finalists for the Excellence.Gov Awards for Excellence in Innovation: Digital Government. WebIFMIS – which is a significant technical upgrade of IFMIS – is the only Federal financial management solution finalist.

The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) recognizes the best practices in the government’s management and use of information technology through the Excellence.Gov Awards.

Achieving finalist status in this prestigious award program is the culmination of several Department of Homeland Security (DHS) awards associated with the deployment of WebIFMIS at FEMA.

  • The DHS CFO Service Award for Superior Mission Achievement for the deployment of a significant performance enhancement with an estimated life cycle savings of $50M.
  • The DHS CFO Service Award for Superior Mission Achievement for exceptionally improving FEMA's on-time invoice payments – which coincides with the WebIFMIS deployment.
  • Two FEMA Directors received recognition for their roles in DHS achieving its first unqualified audit opinion.
